RTS Digital Beltpacks (DBP) with firmware version v 2.0.0 can now be toggled between OMNEO and RVON modes, without the need to re-flash firmware. RVON is RTS Intercom’s proprietary Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), allowing devices to be deployed across a wide area network, including the internet.
DBP controls
The controls for the DBP are outlined in fig.1
Changing the mode of the RTS DBP
To change the operating mode of a DBP, enter the menu by pressing the select/ menu button button on the top of the pack, then using either encoder:
Scroll to settings and press to select.
Scroll to service and press to select
The operating mode screen allows selection on either OMNEO or RVON modes. (Fig. 2-4)
Once the mode is changed the DBP will reboot.
Working with IP Edit
In IP Edit DBPs that have been set to RVON mode will appear with the device type DBP-R and will have different colour identifier from OMNEO DBPs. (Fig 5.)
