Starlink Set-Up Guide

First download the Starlink app from the respective App Store:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starlink.mobile&hl=en&gl=US&pli=1

This app will be used to confirm signal strength during the installation.

In the app follow the instructions below:

  • Find An Install Location
  • Select the bottom Right Starlink option.
  • Point your phone camera up to the sky where the Starlink will be placed.
  • Confirm the obstruction rate is below 0.5%

Using the provided power and network cable

Power up the device and plug the network cable into the intended device. This can be either from the ethernet directly from Starlink into a device such as a laptop or third-party router, or into the Starlink router provided. (The setup for this can be continued in the Starlink app)

Once a connection to the satellite is established you should get an internet connection

If connecting directly statics can be found at 192.168.100.1

Please note that if you are connecting via an additional router, you cannot connect directly to Starlink to view the statistic.

Also, note that Starlink only distributes one DHCP address upwards of an hour.

Though the responsibility of the PM, Clarus must set the postcode of the Starlink whenever they are moved. They need the serial number of the unit, the postcode of its location and the date it will come online and that needs to be sent to the staff-only detail on the link below.
