Assigning a Bolero Multicast IP

When programming integrated Bolero with an Artist frame an AES67 card the following should be noted.

In the Bolero tab for Bolero beltpacks in the Director software there is an error regarding the range of multicast ip addresses available to be assigned to beltpacks.

Some multicast addresses are reserved for use elsewhere for various network functions, therefore the address you assign to a beltpack is not entirely arbitrary.

To avoid conflicts, Bolero multicast ip addresses must always start with 239.255.xxx.xxx.

A useful tip is the make the node ID the third octet of the multicast IP address and the beltpack ID the fourth; beltpack IDs are unique this so this will help avoid clashes.
