Apple ID has a heartbeat that will log you out if it does not see the Apple servers within a few days. Because of this it is likely that the show machines will know the account but it will need to be re logged in to access some features like free apps on the app store and you will need to adhere to the 2Factor annoyance. 2Factor is compulsory with Apple log in’s since 2019 and there is no way around it. It is designed to work with other devices as authenticators but it’s very unlikely it will choose one that you have with you and a 2Factor phone number must be used.
This is relevant for all Apple hardware running macOS 10.15 onwards for both Intel and Silicon based hardware.

Complete these steps via System Preferences and not via the Apple pop up that appears prompting you to sign in.
Step 1 – Credentials. Hash (#) is typed by pressing Alt+3 on a Mac keyboard, It will not work on a PC keyboard so ensure you have an Apple one (will have CMD instead of window key). Please check you are typing # before continuing so you don’t lock the account because you are typing the password incorrectly.

Step 2 – You will be faced with a Two-Factor code box for a code you do not have, please click on ‘Did not get a verification code’
Step 3 – Please select ‘Use a Phone Number’
Step 4 – Please select Phone number ending 96
Step 5 – please navigate to https://onsite.ctlondon.com/SMSRelay/ and enter that 6 digit code in the box provided
Do not attempt to enter other phone numbers, it’s smarter than that and you will lock the device out which can cause a total loss of the hardware if done enough times.
If you cannot get this to work or are having any other trouble please contact the PM who will get assistance from the account admins. Be aware that more than 5 failed log ins will lock the device for a significant duration, probably longer than your project needs
