MULTI USER SESSIONS

Multiuser Sessions in Unreal are a way to enable real-time collaboration among multiple users in a shared virtual environment. It allows for the synchronization of multiple clients so that they can interact and see the same content simultaneously.

The main benefit of using Multiuser Sessions is that it allows for seamless and efficient collaboration among teams working on the same project. This is especially useful for nDisplay, because it allows us to also keep the changes in sync across our render heads.

To synchronize multiple clients, Multiuser Sessions rely on a server-client architecture, where a server manages the state of the virtual environment and communicates updates to all connected clients. This allows for consistent and real-time synchronization between all users in the session, regardless of their physical location or device.

From within the engine, you can enable the MultiUserBrowser window to see if your editor is connected to a multi user session, and displays all the other users connects to that session. Which can be used to determine if all your render head
