SWITCHBOARD
Switchboard is a Python application for controlling multiple remote devices in real-time, and it is designed to work in conjunction with Unreal Engine’s nDisplay system.
Switchboard works by communicating with multiple devices over a TCP socket server, allowing it to send and receive JSON messages with each device. This allows for seamless communication between multiple devices, including virtual cameras, motion capture systems, and lighting rigs.
Switchboard can be used to control and manage these devices from a single location, making it an essential tool for virtual production and real-time collaboration. By enabling real-time control of multiple devices, Switchboard makes it easier to create and manage complex virtual environments, particularly in situations where multiple users need to interact with the same environment simultaneously.
