Information
The S3Browser software is a third-party tool that allows you to connect to and interact with S3 Buckets from Amazon Web Services (AWS). The tool can be downloaded and/or purchased from https://s3browser.com/.
The Auto sync tool is designed to automate the process of syncing a file between S3 Buckets and your local windows computer. This process externally invokes the sync process within the S3Browser software to happen automatically.
Prerequisites
Before running the sync tool ensure you have installed S3Browser. Within S3 browser you will be prompted to create an account on first launch the account name will be required later on. Ensure you setup your account and ensure that you now can see and use the relevant S3 bucket that you wish to use for the sync process.

The Auto Sync tool can be download from the following link: https://links.ct-networks.com/2/9744995 This link is only accessible within a CT London building or when connected via a VPN. Installation
The Auto Sync tool does not require any installation, Extract the Zip folder then the tool can run directly from double clicking the executable S3BrowserAutoSync.exe.
Configuration Options
On first launch you will be asked for the following details:
- S3Browser Account Name
- S3Broeser Account Password (if one was set)
- Sync from path
- S3 Bucket will be in the following format. S3:bucketname
- Local directory needs to be an absolute directory path: D:\SyncedContent
- Sync to path
- S3 Bucket will be in the following format. S3:bucketname
- Local directory needs to be an absolute directory path: D:\SyncedContent
- Frequency of sync
The options entered will be saved for the next time the software is opened, a prompt will be displayed if these settings are found asking if you wish to open the last saved configuration.
Nonstandard installation of S3Browser
If S3Browser is not installed within the default directory C:\Program Files\S3 Browser you can change the path the tool uses. First copy the S3BrowserAutoSync.exe file and right click a blank space and choose paste as shortcut. Right click the shortcut and choose properties, move your cursor to end of the Target field and enter the S3Browser directory path within Quote marks. See image below.
