The MAX-HD4 is generally remotely managed by CT through a central portal, however a lot of settings can be updated directly on the unit.  If making major changes, please check with CT first.

The unit is managed through a web interface.  The interface is only accessible through a cabled LAN connection.

Connect a laptop to a LAN interface on the unit and open a web browser.  If on a standard configuration, navigate to 192.168.50.1. If it’s a non-sandard configuration, find what gateway IP address your computer has been given over DHCP and web to this address. When prompted enter the username admin with the password createch

Checking the Status of the Internet Connections

Once logged in you will land on the Dashboard screen.

The screen lists the status of all the available connection which are ordered in the priority they will be used.

In the picture the cabled WAN ports will be used if they are available.  If not, the EE SIM card in slot 1 will be used, and if EE coverage is not available, the SIM card in slot 4 will be used.

Priorities can be changed by dragging and dropping the services in the list. You need to click and hold on the far left-hand side of each entry to be able to move it up and down the list.

Usually the WAN ports will acquire an IP address via DHCP.  If the venue specifies an IP address you need to use a static IP address will have to be set.

On the Dashboard, click the Details button next to either WAN 1 or WAN 2, whichever is being connected.

From the Connection Method drop-down menu, select Static IP.

Enter an IP address, a subnet mask, a gateway and at least one DNS server.  All these details must be completed to get the connection to work.
