Adding nDisplay to a Project for ARRI-CT Stage
This step-by-step guide explains how to add nDisplay to a project, specifically using the nDisplay asset created for the ARRI-CT stage. Make sure you have gone through the Epic Games documentation on ICVFX, nDisplay, and LED Volumes to familiarize yourself with the concepts.

- Open your Unreal Engine project.
- Go to Edit > Plugins from the main menu.
- Search for “nDisplay” in the search bar.
- Enable the nDisplay plugin by checking the box next to it.
- Restart the Unreal Engine Editor to apply the changes.
Step 2: Configure nDisplay using Switchboard
With Unreal Engine 5.1, you can now use the Switchboard plugin to configure the nDisplay cluster without having to edit the configuration file manually.
- Enable the Switchboard plugin by going to Edit > Plugins and searching for “Switchboard”. Check the box next to it and restart the editor.
- Go to Window > Switchboard from the main menu to open the Switchboard panel.
- Create a new configuration.
- Find the ARRI-CT_nDisplay_actor.uasset
- Recommend disabling the ‘Multi-user GUI option’
- Save the new nDisplay configuration.
Step 3: Launch Project with nDisplay using Switchboard
To launch your project with nDisplay using Switchboard you can click the switchboard button from within Unreal, or follow these steps:
- Open the Switchboard panel by going to Window > Switchboard in the Unreal Engine Editor.
- Select the ARRI-CT stage nDisplay configuration you created in Step 2.
- Click on the “Launch” button to start the project with the selected nDisplay configuration.
The Unreal Engine Editor will now launch with nDisplay enabled and configured for the ARRI-CT stage using Switchboard.
